Curses
Eze 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one."
One who is born again can stand in the gap through the authority given by the Lord Jesus Christ, to redeem their family and territories.
A curse is a supernatural hindrance that limits/stops one's progress.
A curse speaks. A curse can derail one's destiny.
Self Curses are curses caused by disobedience, or sinful actions.
Word Curses. Caused by words spoken against you by someone else especially those that have authority over your life, like a parent.
Pro 18:21 says that the tongue has the power of life and death. When a parent utters negative words against their children, the words affect them aggressively.
Go to your parents and talk things over in case of any misunderstanding, before it is too late.
Heb 12:24 talks of Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and His sprinkled blood, that SPEAKS a better word than the blood of Abel.
Rev 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death."
Through the power of the blood, curses are broken.
Stand in the gap as the one in the right standing with God and apply the blood of Jesus.
In Jer 5:1, God is seeking one person who deals honestly, so that He can forgive the city.
Are you the one to stand in the gap for your family, so that God can forgive any ancestral sins that are hindering progress? Remember Lam 5:7 says that our fathers sinned and are no more.
We bear their punishment. Plead for your family's sake.
Family Curses Include,
1. Family Sicknesses
Most of them are brought by curses. You will know because of a repetitive pattern.
There are families where certain diseases go from one generation to the next. Curses are the cause majorly.
2. Barrenness
Barrenness is lack of productivity.
There are families where people suffer, or struggle with bearing children.
This extends even to the animals and vegetation. You find that a land is not bearing any crops like it's supposed to.
If your neighbor's land is bearing crops, and yours is not, a curse upon your productivity is the cause.
3. Family Breakdown and Divorce
If in your family divorce and breakdowns are common, there is a curse. Again you will find a repetitive pattern.
4. Poverty/Lack/Inability to produce
When you notice lack of money, lack of opportunities, limited growth and such in your family, a curse is the cause.
With other families, you will find that they are well endued with education, and are actually very smart, but the kinds of jobs that they are doing are not a reflection of the same.
Deliverance is possible if we come to the knowledge of the truth (John 8:32)
There are families where poverty is inherited.
If your grandparents were poor, then your parents, and now you, beware of a pattern of poverty.
Exalt Jesus in that family.
5. Lack of Ambition/Vision/Direction
People without a vision, perish.
Have you seen families where everyone is a drunkard, or are involved in other things that indicate lack of direction?
Evidently, this is a spirit that stops people from making sense out of their lives.
These hardships are not in God's plans. There is a force behind them.
6. Bondage and Slavery
You could be in a family where people are slaves to alcohol or are in bondage.
It is not God's plans that all your children are casual labourers, despite the efforts that you have put in place for their achievements.
God's children ought to enjoy privileges as a result of being sons. Refuse to live a life that doesn't bring God glory.
Matt 18:18 "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Curses are broken by people that take their rightful positions in Christ Jesus. Take your position today.
