Dwelling in god's presence

Psalms 91:1 'He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.'
To dwell in God's presence is simply to stay with God.
We as humans go looking for God's presence. It is not easy because of the limitations of the flesh. Those that defy their flesh and its desires, are the ones that can constantly dwell in God's secret place.
It is beneficial to dwell in God's secret place. Reading the Word, praying, fasting and praying, worshipping, meditation of the Word and such are ways you can apply to make sure that you continually dwell in His presence.
Col 3:16 says that we should let the Word of the Lord dwell richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Rom 7:17 - says that sin dwells in a man.
But if Christ is in us, our bodies are dead to sin while our spirits are alive to Righteousness.
Why you Should Dwell in God's Presence (Psalms 91)
1. He will deliver you
Psalms 91:3 says that He will deliver you from the fowler's snare and from the perilous pestilence. This means that there are snares and pestilences, but as a child of light, you are exempted.
2. He will cover you
Psalms 91:4 says that you shall be covered with His feathers just for dwelling in the secret place.
3. You will not fear
Psalms 91:5 "There are arrows that fly by the day and terror that comes at night. By dwelling in His presence, you are exempted divinely.
4. No evil shall befall you
(Psalms 91:7,10)
Although there is evil in this world, and the possibility of having it around it will not come near you. Verse 10 outrightly states that no evil shall begall you.
5. No sickness
Psalms 91:10 says 'No harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.'
6. You will be guarded by angels
Psalms 91:11 talks of how God will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Psalms 34:7 echoes this by saying that the angels of the Lord encamp around those who fear God to deliver them. Angelic protection is a privilege enjoyed by those who love the secret place.
7. You will have authority and power over demons
Psalms 91:13 says 'You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.'
You cannot stay with God and still be under control of evil powers.
8. He will answer your prayers
As revealed in Psalms 91:15, another benefit of staying with God is the fact that He answers when you call upon Him when in trouble. He will not only hear, He will deliver you.
9. He will be with you in trouble
Psalms 91:15
Trouble is probably a guarantee in this world, but that should not be a cause for worry when God is right there with you. Remember how a fourth man showed up in the fire where they threw in Meshack, Shadrach and Abednego?
10. He will satisfy you with long life
As revealed in Psalms 91:16, long life is actually the portion of all those that dwell in God's presence.
11. He will show you His salvation
Psalms 91:16 "With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
There are many other benefits and privileges of staying with God all the time. It is upon us to never depart from His presence. Whether working, driving, engaging in whatever activities, do not depart from God's presence.
Most importantly prioritize on God by spending quality time with Him every day.
