Jesus would always pray. He lived a life of intense prayer.
"Who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear."
It is easier to forgive when you are a man of prayer. In fact, the salvation walk will be easier if you can pray.
Men like Stephen were prayerful. Stephen obtained the grace to forgive those that stoned him. This can never be easy if you are not a person of prayer.
Daniel was also a man of prayer
Dan 6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime."
In Dan 10:11, Daniel received a good report due to his diligence in seeking God's face. The angel addressed him as Daniel most beloved.
1 Thes 5:17 cautions us to Pray without ceasing.
In Mark 14:38, Jesus tells us to Watch and Pray lest we enter into temptations. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
Hannah prayed earnestly until she conceived her son Samuel. The account is in 1 Sam 1
Hannah didn't pray for just a day. She prayed for a long time. The Word says that her lips trembled till Eli the priest thought that she was drunk.
Righteousness and Fervent Praying
Elijah was also a man of prayer (1 Kings 17)
James reveals unto us why Elijah's prayers were effctive. He was a righteous man. (James 5:17)
A man of prayer will find favour. Joseph did find favour in Potiphar's house and eventually with Pharaoh.
Praying at night is a mystery in the kingdom. Seeking God when your flesh would rather not do it, is not only sacrificial, it is also highly effective.
Night prayers will grant you a proper standing in the day. You take over your day in the night. Destinies are manipulated at night. Days are spoiled at night.
Be mindful of night watches and stand in the gap strategically.
The kingdom of darkness takes advantage of believers who are not alert at night to mess their days, lives and destinies up.
